Had an awesome day visiting crater lake in Ethiopia, then we drove to Addis Ababa to continue our work in the capital city. God is doing great things here and we can't wait to see what's in store for us. God bless!

In Ambo

Hey guys
Sorry it took us so long to post;  Internet has been sporadic. We have been having a great time here in Ambo.  On Sunday Dale preached at one church and Rudy preached at another and between the two of them they reached over 3000 Ethiopians. We also got a chance to speak with the youth ( high school and college age) and share our testamonies.
One of my favorite parts of the trip has been interacting with the children. The are so loving and want to be near us all the time. I had kids holding onto my hand almost the entire time we were playing with them. And then we shared the gospel with them and they almost all responded. It was amazing to see what God is doing here through these children.
Today we are meeting with some if the guardians and visiting some of the houses.  Then we will be headed to our second location. Please be praying with us for these special people. 

We are on our way!

We made it to Washington DC!  The first step toward Ethiopia is complete. We are super excited about what God is going to do through us this week. Please be praying with us that God uses us mightily.

Baked Potato Fundraiser

Thank you so much to the lovely people at Living Waters Church for hosting us this Sunday for a Baked Potato lunch!  We appreciate the opportunity to both share our vision for Ethiopia and come closer to our goal of being fully funded for this trip.  I was blessed by the warm welcome we received and all the people who told us that they would be praying for us as we finish preparing and go to Ethiopia.  We know that prayer has power and we appreciate those who use that power on our behalf.

This blog is to keep people up to date on what is happening as our team prepares for a mission trip to Ethiopia.  We will be traveling March 15th to minister to orphans in Ethiopia through a ministry known as Because of Kennedy.

Going on this trip are Charles Dearing, Jeremy Thompson, Dale Stephens and myself.  We will also be traveling with Georgia Tech professor and founder of Because of Kennedy, Rudy Gleason.  

As we get closer to the trip we will periodically post updates about the things we are doing to prepare.  And of course when we get there we will keep you updated on what is happening.  

 As part of our preparation, I am posting this weekly devotional which we will be doing.  I encourage those of you who are praying with/for us to look at / use this helpful tool as well.
